Dry Brushing is suggested to be a tool to help keep the lymphatic system healthy and moving. Dry brushing for lymphatic drainage is used by some to try and reduce swelling, but it's mostly used for skin health and signs of aging, via exfoliation. It's a tool for lymphatic drainage massage, as well, but must be used gently to avoid skin breakdown. Generally, most videos or blogs will tell you to brush towards the heart, but as a certified lymphedema therapist, I show you in this video how the lymphatic system works and what would be the best technique to do dry brushing for lymphedema or your lymphatic system to be most effective.
In this book, by Eileen Day McKusick, she talks about what she has found using tuning forks in the human biofield and the technique she has developed. She explains the practice of sound balancing and details how to use tuning forks to clear disturbances. This is a profound book that guided me personally to gain interest and seek training in her technique.
This is an incredible book, and Bruce Lipton, PhD offers a plethora of valuable information that can truly alter the way you look at your genetics, the expression of your DNA and your environment. He also has a show on Gaia called Inner Evolution, in which he talks about the concepts in this book.
Mentioned in the self-improvement section are a few of Dr. Joe Dispenza's books. Throughout all of his books he offers studies and examples that back up the information that he is sharing. If you are looking for scientifically supported information regarding the mind and its workings, his books are an excellent resource.
Lynn Mctaggart explains her theory with scientific data and examples that the mind and body are not separate from the environment, all of which is packed with energy. It deals in the Law of Attraction and how our consciousness shapes our world. This is an incredible book.
Wallace Thornhill and David Talbot give a detailed explanation of why its not gravity that holds our universe together, but rather energy. This book is all about electricity in space and its fascinating!
Michael Talbot discusses his theory of reality and the latest frontiers of physics. He offers evidence that all matter exists in a vast web of connection and explains telepathy, out-of-body experiences, lucid dreams and even religious experiences such as miraculous healings.
Michael Newton PhD is a Psychotherapist that explores the interlife through 29 clients he placed in "superconscious" state of awareness. I found Journey of Souls to be a fascinating book. The clients reveal information about what its like to be a spirit, what the spirit world is like, what we do as souls and even why we come back in certain bodies.
Brian L. Weiss, MD is a Psychotherapist that while using hypnosis stumbled upon a Past Life with his client. This is the story of the many lives they explored and how that information changed both their lives. Many Lives, Many Masters is also available as an audio book.
The author, Dolores Cannon is a Hypnotist that developed the first Past Life Regression training I received, Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique. Five Lives Remembered were sessions she documented while her husband who was a Hypnotist discovered Past Lives with a client they were working with in 1968. As a researcher at heart, much of the information they obtained she was able to confirm. This book is also available as an audio book.
Eben Alexander, MD, beautifully discusses his near death experience in this book. I recommend it not only because I loved it, but also because everyone I have met that has read this book has also loved it. It was one of the first books I read when I was trying to figure out what I believe. His view point is unique as he was very skeptical of spirituality and because of his extraordinary knowledge of the brain. Proof of Heaven is a page turner that gets you thinking.
If you follow my Facebook page, Neale Donald Walsch is someone I quote quite often because what he has to say often speaks to my soul. Conversations with God really helped me shape and articulate my spiritual beliefs and of course, isn't for everybody. But I think its worth the read if you are following your spiritual curiosity. I listened to this on audible and absolutely loved the narrators, but there were some musical parts and interviews on that version I think they could have left out.
I love this book. Lorna Bryne tells her story of what it was like growing up and through her life with the ability to see and interact with angels. I listened to this book on audible, as I do often, but I especially recommend audio for this book as she narrates and has a beautiful accent. Angels in My Hair is such a beautiful story, I can't tell you how often I found myself smiling...and crying as I listened.

I recommend this book to every client. Dr. Joe Dispenza shares his incredible healing story in this book as well as the science behind how imagery and meditation can change your brain. You Are The Placebo is a great resource to better understand your brain and how powerful you are in creating your reality. Also available as an audio book.
I always reach for this book when looking to create powerful affirmations for my clients. Louise Hay is a beautiful wordsmith. In addition to a vast variety of affirmations, You Can Heal Your Life offers incite and strategies on improving your life.
When navigating any life change knowledge is power. This book dives into all the aspects of smoking, from marketing programming to what smoking does to our bodies. The Easy Way to Quit Smoking is a great compliment on your journey to dropping the habit.
This is one of the first books I ever read that discussed the subconscious mind, long before I became a Hypnotherapist. Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson discuss how your child is receiving and processing the information we give them. They also explore tools on how reduce stress in the parent /child relationship. The Whole Brained Child to me is an essential book for parenting. It is also available as an audio book.
In the book, You Are The Placebo there is a chapter that summarizes this book. I often print that chapter out for my clients as I want them to better understand what is going on in their brains as they use hypnosis and meditation to create the change they desire. Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself is a must read and is also available as an audio book.
David R. Hawkins M.D. Ph.D explores how to improve your life by letting go of the energy that no longer serves you. Letting Go is a great book for better understanding the energy that you give off by going into detail about frequency and what your feelings can do to your body. This book is also available as an audio book.
